Director Rian Johnson a mob game planned regular mystery parties for the cast during filming. I had the opportunity to speak with Janelle as part of the event African American Film Critics Association round table series. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (titled simply Glass Onion on screen) is a 2022 American mystery film written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Johnson and Ram Bergman. This standalone sequel to 2019’s Knives Out sees Daniel Craig reprise his role as master detective Benoit Blanc as he takes on a new case involving tech billionaire Miles Bron (played by Edward Norton) and his closest friends. The cast also includes Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.
