Buster Keaton’s first feature film celebrates its centenary with a brand new Blu-ray release

Eureka Entertainment is releasing Three AGES, Buster Keaton’s first feature film production, to mark the film’s 100th anniversary. Presented in a stunning new restoration on Blu-ray for its UK debut as part of The Masters of Cinema Series. Available from August 21, 2023, the first 2,000 copies will have a limited edition O-card Slipcase.

The first film written, directed and starring Buster Keaton, Three Ages spoofs DW Griffith’s historical epic Intolerance. Like the film, Three Ages follows multiple narratives through different historical eras, which Keaton packs to the brim with incredible stunts and hilarious visual gags.

Set in three eras—the Stone Age, Ancient Rome, and “Modern Times”—Keaton competes for the love of a woman (Margaret Leahy) while fending off an ugly bully (Wallace Beery).

Masters of Cinema is proud to present another Keaton masterpiece for its UK Blu-ray debut, from a stunning restoration completed in 2022 by the Cohen Film Collection.
