Trillo & Suede – Season 1
We just watched Trillo & Suede Season 1 and we can’t stop laughing…
We don’t know how Trillo & Suede slipped under our radar, but they did!!! However, today we are here to fix that. We wanted to share with you this fantastic web series from the mind of ventriloquist Jonathan Geffner, who not only stars in the series like Trillo and Suede, but also wrote the series. I’d like to try to describe the series, but I think Jonathan describes it best…
Trillo and Suede are a ventriloquist and investigative duo. Working in Brooklyn, New York, they deal with an endless array of gangsters and hitmen, killers and villains, spies and swindlers, crooks and cops, politicians and co-conspirators as they unravel each episode’s suspenseful mystery. Think Roger Rabbit meets The Maltese Falcon in a film noir neo-1940s alternate universe. This is film noir through the eyes of the Marx Brothers. Charlie Chan meets Charlie McCarthy; Philip Marlowe meets the Muppets; Humphrey Bogart meets Edgar Bergen, except Suede is tougher than Bogie and Trillo is a better ventriloquist than Edgar Bergen.
